THE BOOK
HEART, BE AT PEACE
BY DONAL RYAN
Heart be at Peace is a novel told through twenty-one voices, set in a small town in rural Ireland in 2019. The boom and bust years of the ‘Celtic Tiger’ have passed, but now a new menace threatens the town. Young people are being drawn towards the promise of fast money whilst the generation above them tries to push back against an enemy none of them can touch, tearing at the very heart of the community.
