POLLY MARKHAM

Polly Markham has been the manager of Golden Hare Books, an award-winning independent bookshop in Edinburgh, since 2021. She joined Waterstones as a bookseller in 2004 after graduating from the University of St Andrews. She worked at the Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street branches in Glasgow, and then the Ocean Terminal branch in Edinburgh. Although most of her time as a bookseller has been spent on the shop floor, she has also worked in other roles including account sales, marketing, buying and event planning.
