HATTIE CRISELL

Hattie Crisell is a writer, journalist and podcaster, who grew up in Newcastle and lives in London. She has written for The Times, Guardian, The Telegraph, Grazia, Elle, Vogue and The New York Times, among others. In 2019, she created the podcast In Writing with Hattie Crisell, on which she interviews writers of all kinds about how and where they write, and what they’ve learnt about doing it well. Her guests have included George Saunders, Curtis Sittenfeld, Brandon Taylor, Lucy Prebble, Charlie Brooker, Wendy Cope, James Acaster, Kit de Waal, Michael Rosen, Maggie O’Farrell and Jon Ronson. In 2022, she completed an MA in creative writing from Birkbeck, University of London. Her first book, inspired by the podcast and exploring what it means to be a writer, will be published in 2024.
